Our Teams

The Table Team – Prepares hot, nutritious main meals. Handles meal planning (including grocery list), coordinates picking up food from the “shopper”, transporting cooked food to site location.

The Servant’s Table Team – This team manages the serving line and distribution of the meals with smiles and greetings. They ensure a smooth flow, consistent portions, and a welcoming atmosphere. There is also a person who takes responsibility for the “clicker” counting the number of meals (not people) we serve.

The Manna Team – In addition to the main meal, Solomon’s Porch Ministry provides snacks such as cookies, crackers, fruit snacks, and any extra donations that are brought. This team oversees setup and stresses the importance of our guests choosing what they want.

The Refresh Team – Prepares and serves bottled water and 20 gallons of seasonal beverages such as hot chocolate or lemonade. 

The Renewed Team – Distributes hygiene products and supports guests with basic personal‑care needs. Maintains inventory and lets the Board know when supplies get low so they can reorder in a timely manner.

The Restored Team – This team provides free haircuts. They interact with our guests in a safe, sanitary setup and helps guests feel confident and cared for. They also have the right to refuse to give haircuts if lice is detected.

The Foundation Team – Handles transportation of utility trailer and Clothesmobile to serving site. Sets up tents, tables, banners, and trash bags. At the end of the serving time, ensures utility trailer is loaded correctly per the guidebook to ensure safe transport.

The Roll Call Team – Tracks onsite attendance for guests and volunteers. Turns over attendance sheet to the Secretary or another onsite board member.

The Intercessors Team – Provides spiritual support through prayer and encouragement. Offers compassionate listening and optional prayer for anyone who requests it. Records prayer needs, posts prayer needs in the Group Me app and supplies it to the North Church prayer team.

The Creature Care Team – Supports guests with pets by offering food, supplies, and basic needs. Helps ensure animals are safe and comfortable.

The Care Closet Team – Distributes clothing in an orderly manner, assisting guests in finding what they need.

The Gathering Team – Plans and coordinates 2 fundraisers a year and quarterly volunteer social get-togethers.
